I open the door. I enter and close it behind me. The noise and chaos remain outside.  I close my eyes. I know the path to follow. I set off to the house of silence.   I leave the noisy street and walk towards the dark forest. The hustle and bustle is behind me.   My pace becomes calmer. My breathing deeper.  I let my body lead the way.  I see the door in front of me -  the door to the house of silence.   It's completely quiet. I feel safe. I want to stay here and rest.   I always wondered what would happen if I discovered a completely new world – free of traces of human existence and filled with otherworldly landscapes. I would be the first to capture it in photography – like Ansel Adams. For my projects I search for places where I can experience isolation and unspoiled environments; beauty and purity of what surrounds me. Manipulation is not a part of this world, everything is authentic. I and this world are one. The attraction of darkness and a return to a time when everything was different. I love to confront the viewer with images of places hard to recognise, where human traces are hard to find. A place of my mystery. Intact.
